Fill in the Cat

I love when designers take negative space and turn it into an intriguing and functional design concept. Take, for instance, the Mexican design collective NEL who has created a really interesting collection of furniture called Fill in the Cat. The shapes of playful cats and birds are interwoven inside the solid block forms, making each piece not only visually exciting, but a functional storage space as well.
